So was the Forbes Report Right or Wrong? You be the Judge!

As you know, Late last night early this morning, I saw that Forbes came out with the highest priced Zip Code List for the country, so I immediately focused on the greater Los Angeles Real Estate Zip Codes. Not all of them, I just picked out randomly three Zip Codes that interested me, since my Real Estate Office is in Beverly Hills and I was asking  the day before  where people would prefer to live if the choice was between Malibu or Bel Air.

After reviewing these three areas I though it would be interesting to see if Forbes was right or wrong? So with that said I went to the Multiple Listing Service and as of 1am this morning wanted to see what the activity was for the past six months in all three areas.

So with that said let’s see the results:

Beverly Hills (area #1 in the MLS)

117 Active Single Family   Residences       12 Backup      16 Pending   and    97 Sold

A  Listed over $60million: 1, B Listed between: $20-$30million 2,   C Listed between: $10-$20million 17,

D Listed between: $5-$10million 38, E Listed between: $2-$5 million 22, F Listed under $2million 37

Sold:  A = 0, B= 0, C= 4, D=20, E=34, F=39

*These numbers did not include Beverly Hills Post Office (area #2 in the MLS)

Bel Air (area #4 in the MLS)

121 Active Single Family Residences   4 Backup   13 Pending   and   73 Sold

A Listed over $150million: 1, B Listed between:  $50-$60 million: 2, C Listed between: $20-$40 million: 11

D Listed between: $10-$20 million: 15, E Listed between: $5-10million: 16,

F Listed between:$2-$5million: 29, G Listed under $2million: 47

Sold: A=0,B=0,C=0,D=3,E=3,F=18,G=49

Malibu (areas #32 Malibu Beach &# 33 Malibu)

331 Active Single Family Residences 17 Backup      14 Pending    and 85 Sold

Listed over $60 million: 1, B Listed between: $40-$60 million: 2, C Listed between: $20-$40million: 6

D Listed between: $10-$20 million: 30, E Listed between: $5-$10 million: 33,

F Listed between: $2-$5million: 126 G Listed under $2million: 133

Sold:  A=0, B=0, C= 1,D=7,E=3, F=30, G=44
