We Celebrate Flag Day every year on June 14th.

This day is to commemorate our beloved symbol of America’s freedom. I am following our forefather’s tradition that was started 235 years ago. I will proudly fly our flag in observance of Flag Day.

At the same time I thought it would be a good time to remind everyone who reads my blog what other days one should fly the flag, since there are quite a few days I have decided to break this post into two the first half and then the second half of the year into parts one and two :

January 1st on New Year’s Day

January 20th on Inauguration Day

3rd Monday in January to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday

February 12th to celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday

3rd Monday in February to celebrate George Washington’s Birthday

Easter Sunday

Second Sunday in May to celebrate Mother’s Day

June 14th Flag Day

3rd Sunday in June to celebrate Father’s Day

And of course ever time there is a State Holiday as well one should fly the flag.

Remember the flag should not touch the ground and if you are flying it after the sun sets make sure there is a light on it. These are just simply flag protocols one should abide by, to properly respect the symbol of our American Freedom.
