The Promenade Café at the Queen Mary, Long Beach, CA
There are quite a few Restaurants at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. Ironically both times we went to the Queen Mary we ended up at “The Promenade Café”. Quite frankly it is a reasonably priced Restaurant with great food.
Diane had a Tuna Melt with French Fries, Linda had a Chicken Veggie Wrap with homemade potato chips, Diane’s father had had the Philly Stake Sandwich and I had the Salad Nicoise. Mine was probably the healthiest of the four and it was done truly close to the tradition, with the hardboiled egg, green beans, olives and tuna over a bed of lettuce. Anyway it was truly great! Anyway check out the pictures and you tell me if I am wrong.
If you ever go to the Queen Mary and do not want to stay for Dinner, then make the Promenade Café your destination of choice. First of all, how often will you have the opportunity to eat on an Ocean Cruise Liner, might as well make the most of it.
They have small selection of wine by the glass but drinkable. I had a nice Pinot Noir and Diane had a nice Chardonnay and as you will see in the pictures Linda had a Bloody Mary and Diane’s Dad had a beer. So it was a fun way to relax after the tour of the Queen Mary and the Diane Princess Exhibit.
